River Wharfe Trip (Washburn replacement event)

OK, folks , most of you will now know that our Washburn Cruise planned for this Sunday has sadly been cancelled but fear not …. we’re not going to leave our Club members stranded on dry land so we’re off to the River Wharfe running the gorgeous stretch from Conistone to Burnsall.

This is open to all Club members only and all features on the River can be easily portaged if you feel that they’re not for you. All features are interspersed with beautiful stretches of fairly flat water, so if you were planning on honing your skills on the Washburn then come and join us.

You must email me your attendance in advance so that we know who to wait for –

You must also bring a packed lunch, parking change and full whitewater paddling kit – helmet, Buoyancy aid, spray deck, full wetsuit and sturdy wet boots or trainers that you don’t mind getting wet, along with a complete change of clothes. Shorts and slip-on “ wet “ shoes will not be accepted.

Meet up is 10.00 at the village green in Burnsall – this is actually our “ get out “ point and we will then shuttle up to the “ get in “ at Conistone Bridge. If you need any kit from the Clubhouse ….please shout out early so that we sort access out for you.

If you need a lift or are willing to offer a lift please post on here in advance.

Depending on our finish time we may stop off for a Cup of tea and a slice of Cake too, so bring some spending cash.

Who’s joining us?
