Club Members - Your Help is Needed!

Following the huge success of the our slaloms in 2009, the Club’s first slalom event of the year is on the weekend of 16th & 17th October.

Once again we NEED help from all members to run this event at the Club.

We have had a fantastic turn out of helpers in March and it would be great to see the same again this time.

Help is needed on both days over the weekend. You don’t need to be a slalom expert, just willing! Jobs that need to be done include:

providing safety cover on the water,
running start or finish (if you can use a stopwatch and pencil you can do this),
helping in the office (if you can use a pen or computer you can do this)
help in the kitchen,

Whether you can help for one or both days or just a few of hours it will be greatly appreciated.

We also need help to erect the course the week before the slalom. We’ll be doing this on Saturday 9th October (9:30am for a 10am start) - the only skills needed for this is the ability to pull on rope, so why not come and lend a hand for a couple of hours then have a paddle.

An added bonus for the Club is that hosting slalom events bring much needed funds into kitty which helps to cover the running of the Clubhouse and keeps your membership fees down.
