A BIG thank you to all those who helped clean up the river on Saturday (19th June). As always your help made the day run much more smoothly.

A whopping 20 odd bags and more assorted junk removed from the river and river bank. Its now a much nicer place to paddle and it looks pristine for us to receive visitors at our slalom next week!

As we are in a high profile location in the community, it’s important that we are seen to be doing our bit to look after the environment.

Given the ongoing campaign for improved access to rivers it is also important that canoeist ensure we present a positive image and demonstrate that we care for the environments that we paddle through.

The clubs next river clean up is on Saturday 10th October, so put the date in your diary and come down and get stuck in to the muck as we clean up our river
