The pool is an ideal place for beginners to get to grips with paddling, or for you to push on and improve your skills such as support strokes, or learn and practice Eskimo rolling.

Due to the new pool opening in Sowerby Bridge we will be doing pool sessions at Elland Pool this year.

As in previous years, to try and accommodate as many people as possible we will be running 4 blocks of 5-week sessions on Tuesday evenings.    That’s 4 sets of junior’s sessions (7.00pm to 8.00pm) and 4 sets of adult’s sessions (8.00pm to 9.00pm).

The cost of the five week block of session will be £30 per person (the same as last year!) which is purely the cost of hiring the pool. For non-members there is an additional charge of £5 to cover club membership for the remainder of the year (to March 2011).

There will only be 10 places available on each block (that’s 10 juniors and 10 adults), so you will need to book in advance to secure your place. Please remember the pool sessions do fill up quickly so book early to avoid disappointment.

Coaches

Obviously, we need several volunteers to coach and provide pool-side safety cover for each of the pool sessions. Once again we’d like volunteers to sign up to blocks of sessions. If you can assist, please speak to Pete about which sessions you can assist with.
