Do you need an excuse to paddle this Saturday, well here it is! We have the rubber duck race at around 16.00hrs as part of the "Rushbearing" a bizarre event with morris dancing, rushcart pulling and many other entertaining things.

For our part we shepherd rubber ducks down our white water course to help raise money for the scouts. We get to have a chat and have some fun, whilst showing off our sport to many prospective paddlers. The rushbearing starts at around 11am in Warley and travels through Sowerby Bridge, check out the web for details.

I will be at the club from 15.00hrs, I may be on the river so come and find me if you do not have a key for changing rooms. there are dry jobs too when collecting the ducks at the bottom of the river. Usually all done for 17.30hrs.

Call me if you need to chat etc, other wise just turn up, we will have enough members to look after each other, even if your still learning or new to our sport. So come and have some fun and remember parking is an absolute nightmare so allow plenty of time if you want to paddle.

Kind Regards
