We are delighted to announce that the club has been successful in securing a Grassroots Grant through the Community Foundation for Calderdale.

• We have been given £3,400 which will fund:
• 4 new large volume general purpose kayaks (Dagger Approaches)
• 2 new plastic slalom boats (SL350’s)
• A full set of airbags to go in the boats
• 6 full sets of paddle, Buoyancy aid, spraydeck, and helmet to go with each boat

This means we will now have kayak suited to larger adults coming into the club and starting canoeing, and complements the clubs policy to provide equipment for members in a ranger of sizes..  It also means that where people have previously struggled to get to grips with the sport in kayaks that are too small for them, we will now have boats to fit and enable people to progress more quickly.
