Ok it wasn’t an official Club trip, but two of went, so we thought we post a few photos to make you jealous!

Matt and I headed off to Briancon, the centre of white water paddling in the French Alps with Escape to Adventure. So all week it was high mountains, alpine streams, hot sun and freezing water ! (most of it comes form snow melt).

There’s a fantastic range and number of rivers to paddle, depending on ability and water levels. In 6 days we did 12 trips and there were plenty of other rivers that we didn’t get to, or we too high (too much snow higher in the valley) or too low(too little snow in the higher valleys). Access is great - basically from 9:30am to 6pm you can paddle! After 6 you can’t - and if you you might be arrested by the Gendarmes! Still better than we have in England!
