A date for your diaries is 25-
This is a Div 3/4 event, with a race each day. So two chances to get it right, lots of opportunity to practice the course, and you're competing against other beginners! For those that are really keen we’ll have a Start Slalom Course running in the few weeks before this event . And if you are really, really keen we’ll be up at the campsite early afternoon so if you can sneak out of work there’ll be a chance to practice while the river is quiet!!
If that's not tempting you -
Plus it’s a good family atmosphere and a chance to socialise and be part of the wider
Yorkshire paddling fraternity -
And there's usually a hog roast on the Saturday night too!
Camping is available on site so you only have to fall out of bed seconds before your
run. The site is well equipped with showers and proper loo's -
For those that don’t know, the event is at Slenningford Mill, West Tanfield. This is a few miles north of Ripon (right by Lightwater Valley for those that we can’t get iinto a boat!)
Also if there is demand I am happy to take the trailer with boats on it -
There’ll be more details on here as we get nearer to the event, but speak to Les or Sarah Ford for more details of the weekend on ( 01484 854099 or email.
The important bit a the moment is get the date in your diary!
For more information on slalom visit the slalom website or the competition section or speak to Les.
