Your Help is Needed!
The Club will be providing the safety team for the Div 2 slalom at the Washburn on 4th & 5th July. The event is run collectively by Yorkshire club and this is our contribution.
We are looking for 3 or 4 (competent) people each day to be on the end of throw lines and possibly a few safety boats to provide the necessary cover for both days of the event. For those who have done the white water safety & rescue course this will be an ideal chance to practice all those throw line rescues and other skills you learnt. (Yes, you are almost guaranteed to get some practice!). Anyone helping can have an officials run in the competition. And anyone who doesn’t feel up to helping with safety will be made most welcome helping with one of the many other jobs that need doing at the event.
