Child Protection at the Club

Child protection is something that as a club we have to take seriously.

So what have we done so far?

  • We have in place a Child Protection Policy setting out the club’s position and procedures in this area and simple guidelines for all to work to.

  • We are in the process of getting CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) checks done on all club instructors, and will continue to do these for new helpers and Instructor that become involved.

  • We have run occasional information/training session for Instructors and other club members so they are familiar with the club’s policy and procedures.

We intend to run more of these - probably one or two time a year, as this is an important issue for everyone at the club, which we all have a role in.

Why should you attend on of these sessions?

  • For parents - so you know what we are doing and your role in it.

  • For all member - so you know where the club stands and are aware of simple measure to ensure you protect yourself from potential false allegations.

Look out for details of future sessions on the noticeboard, website and newsletter.

For more information on the session contact Jan Buckley or for more details on the Child Protection Policy contact Debbie Stopford.
