On Thursday 17th September, a fellowship of 12 paddlers from Halifax will embark on a challenging adventure. Over 4 days, our fellowship will paddle a combined distance of over 1,100 kilometres from Corpach on the Atlantic Coast of Scotland, up the Caledonian Canal through Loch Lochy, Loch Oich and Loch Ness before arriving at Inverness, on the East coast of Scotland where the North Sea meets land.
We would love your support in helping us raise funds for our Club so that we can continue to provide the necessary equipment needed to run coached sessions throughout the year. We are a self-funded club who rely on volunteers to run all of our coached sessions, offering people from Halifax and the surrounding area an opportunity to learn the necessary skills to take up Kayaking and Canoeing as a hobby.
Our club is celebrating our 50th anniversary this year and as a Club, we are trying to raise £2,000 over the next year to help us replace some of our Buoyancy Aids, Spray decks and Helmets. We would love to raise £250 (or more) towards our target and would be very grateful for any support you can give.
Paddlers are Pete Bell, Alex Bell, Craig Bould, Allan McEvoy, Mike Highley, Christine Brown, Judith Forbes, Colin McMahon, James Freeman, Nigel Rhodes, Pete Cowey and Callum (James’s pal)
