Halifax Canoe Club hold the Sport England Clubmark Award and are a BCU Top Community Club

Summer River Sessions - from July 2008 onwards

The first half of our summer coaching sessions are coming to a close during the next week or two. But, there is still plenty of chance to start paddling with the Club or sign up for a course to improve your skills.

As ever, the Club’s coaches will be running a series of groups for members, if you want coaching with the Club you’ll need to join one of these groups - depending on what you want to do. Here’s how it works:

  • Each session runs through to mid-September
  • Juniors must paddle in one of these groups, or with their parent.
  • If the lead coach is not available, they will arrange for another coach to take the session or cancel and tell you when the next session is (please remember some sessions will be cancelled if the coaches are on holiday).
  • Please remember, our coaches are all volunteers and give up their free time to run these sessions.
  • For more details about what is involved in each block speak to one of the Club’s coaches.

We have tried to ensure our sessions cover the widest range of paddlers needs. So here are the details of the sessions being offered for the second half of the summer:
