Mile End Mill play day, River Dee

Piggy backing onto our Snowdon Hit and Run the day before is a fun filled day down on the River Dee at Llangollen.  Quite a few of our members are camping in Llanberis for weekend and as such will be making the short trip across Snowdonia to have a play on the Dee.  Possibly running the classic 3km section of the Dee from Horseshoe falls to Mile End Mill , before having a play session in the weirs and Boulder Garden at the get out.

Who is it for ?

This river is an excellent introduction for paddlers to experience the thrill of White water paddling with one rapid ” the serpents tail” easily portaged if advised to do so by the River Leader.   If you are new to our “Away day ” trips and wonder if this trip is for you please drop me and email or give me a bell 07443221530.  Likewise , if you know you are capable and want to come , please email me too so that we aren’t waiting for you.  ”  if you don’t tell us you are coming, we don’t know you are coming” .

What do I need to bring?

full water kit – wet suit, helmet,  buoyancy aid, spray deck, kayak, sturdy footwear/ water boots, change of clothing, towel, packed lunch, hot drink and cash  ( we usually go for a glass of lemonade before heading home and a river fee is payable by all paddlers too)

Once we have confirmed numbers , we will discuss car shares, lifts and meeting times etc .

hope to see you plenty of you there.
