Sowerby Bridge Division 2/3 Slalom

18th & 19th October 2008

Entries:

Please try to make an effort to enter in advance of the event. Entries should be sent to:

  • Les Ford, 27 Kistvaen Gardens, Meltham, Holmfirth, HD9 5NQ

Entry card should be fully completed and be accompanied by the correct entry fee! (Please see the Slalom yearbook or website for 2008 fees and where to get entry cards). details of where to get entry cards are on the slalom website and in the Yearbook.

Subject to space, late entries will be accepted up to 9.30am Saturday and 9.30am Sunday  - the relevant late entry fee will be charged.

Judges - we always need more so please come along!

Programme:

As we anticipate a lot of entries on the day, below is a programme for the event rather than a start list. This gives the start time and running order for each day, to enable you to estimate your individual start time. A full start list will be posted in control before the beginning of each day’s competition.

Control will be open from 8.30am each day for entries and queries.

Saturday 

10.30am  Div 2 K1M, K1W, C1 - 1st runs
  Div 2/3  C , Vets - 1st run    
  Div 3 K1M, K1W, C1 - 1st run  
  Officials - 1st runs
1.00pm   2nd runs – same order as 1st runs (may change depending on the number of entries)

Prize giving will be as soon as possible after runs have completed. The course will be changed for Sunday as soon as possible after prize giving.

Sunday

10.30am  Div 2 K1M, K1W, C1 - 1st runs
  Div 2/3  C , Vets - 1st run    
  Div 3 K1M, K1W, C1 - 1st run  
  Officials - 1st runs
1.00pm   2nd runs – same order as 1st runs (may change depending on the number of entries)

Prize giving will be as soon as possible after runs have completed

Prizes:

Prizes for each day’s competition should be as follows (subject to the number of entries):

Div 2 K1 Men 1st, 2nd, 3rd + juniors
Div 2 K1 Women 1st, 2nd, 3rd + juniors
Div 2 C1 1st
Div 2/3 C2 1st
Vet  1st
Div 3 K1 Men  1st, 2nd, 3rd + juniors
Div 3 K1 Women 1st, 2nd, 3rd + juniors
Div 3 C1 1st
Officials 1st Prem / Div 1, 1st Div 4, 1st Women, Best Junior.

Canoeing and Kayaking are “Assumed risk” – “Water contact sports” that may carry attendant risks. Participants should be aware of and accept these risks, and be responsible for their own action and involvement
