Austria 2006 - Pictures

Read part 1

Sunday - Sanna & Inn (grade 2/3)

Warming up on the Inn

Monday - Imst Gorge (3) on the Inn

(above) Looking deceptively easy, a gentle section before the main gorge - strangely I didn't get the camera out on the big bits!

(above) Getting sorted after recovering a couple of swimmers in the Imst Gorge -  its a long walk to meet up to where we got their boats out

(above) After running the Imst Gorge we had a look at the Painer Cateract (a good 4 and probably a 5 at this level) on the Sanna - this is just the start above the road bridge - below there is another 500m full of waves and holes to be avoided!

Loisach (3/4) over in Germany

(above) Les takes a wave in the face on the Coe between Back Man Door and the Coe Gorge

(above) Further down, the Loisach eases a bit as it comes into Garmish

Wednesday - Switzerland - Martina section of the Inn (3) and the Schuls gorge (3/4) on the Inn

(above) The Tossens section of the Inn in high water - on to plan B - head for Switzerland (the picture flattens this out alot!)

(above) Playing in a friendly hole on the Martina section

(above) Running down the appropriately named "Against the Wall" at the end of the Schuls Gorge

Thursday - Inn and Sanna in higher water (2/3) and the Rosanna (3) - aborted

No piccies - sorry

Friday - Rissbach (3/4) and upper Isar (3)

(above) a gentler section of the Rissbach

(above) Unloading the Taxi at the Isar get in

(above) Between the gorges on the Isar
