As
I was on the water all the time I'm not sure what else there was!
Ok
there was the award winning First World War Museum, waterfalls to see (too big
to paddle!) and just magnificent scenery to be soaked in. There were plenty of
walking and cycling routes around the valley to be explored, but we just didn't
have the time to have a go.
A
notable feature in Kobarid were the restaurants, boasting two or three of the
best in the country. So off we went to a fantastic fish restaurant - it
certainly lived up to its billing as one of the finest. And rather than silly
prices, it was only about £15 a person!
To
round off the week was the wacky races part 2! Once we had everything and
everyone shoe-horned into the vehicles we set of for Bled - the obvious way to
go was up and over the 1600m Vrsic pass - but would the camper vans make it
without a rest half way up? (surprisingly yes!)
